Malibu Dude

In California there are mountains everywhere. Where there aren't mountains there are oceans. Wherever there are neither mountains nor oceans there are lots and lots of cars. On Saturday we decided for a hike through the mountains and go to the beach in Malibu. What was supposed to be an hour drive turned into a 2 hour drive. But it was cool anyway because I got to look at all the big hills and mountains on the way and saw a bunch of firetrucks and police cars at the scene of a car accident.
As soon as we arrived for the hike we decided to have a picnic. My Daddy said he was "starving his butt off!" - whatever that means . . .

Here we are eating with Aunt Claire, Uncle CB and good friends Mike & Johanna.

There was lots to look at so I didn't want to sit still to eat.It was a long hike and it was really hot outside. It was hard work to go for such a long walk!
All that hiking made me thirsty!
Finally we arrived to the swimmin' spot. Claire & CB were excellent tour guides & hosts.

I got some Mickey wings to help me swim
Daddy should have gotten some Mickey wings also to protect him when he jumped off the big rock
Aunt Claire & I needed a snack
After swimming we had to walk all the way back to the car. Then we drove to the ocean to find some dophins.

By the time we arrived I was hungry for another snack:
Aunt Claire likes animal crackers too!
Mama & Daddy, Aunt Claire & Uncle CB went body boarding. Mom didn't want to go because the water was VERY cold, but Daddy cried and begged until she decided to do it.

Mike played with me in the sandHe even buried my legs until I couldn't see anything but my toes
Then we looked out into the ocean and saw that there was indeed a dolphin jumping and playing in the water right in the same spot that everyone was just swimming! We couldn't get a good picture so you will just have to take my word for it.
