I had a choice of what color cast to get and I chose Camoflauge. I heard that camo is supposed to hide things so I thought that if I got a camo cast no one would be able to see it anymore. Turns out that it doesn't blend in too well with my skin tone. So instead of hiding it I decided that I will flaunt it. This new cast is much harder than my old splint. This one is great for banging on things like the table to make noise or even on people if I really want to get a reaction. I figure that I deserve to make the most of this whole cast thing. I have even figured out that if my parents are bugging me about anything, checking my cast or wiping my hands I can just say "owww, owww, owww" and they usually stop right away. What happened to my other cast you ask? My Mom and Dad took me to the doctor place where I got my original splint. They unwrapped my arm and I thought that I was finally done having my arm all stiff. Well, was I ever wrong. They took me into the picture room and shined a light on my arm while holding it really still. Boy was I mad! I screamed so hard you could hear me across the building. I said, "Please stop exposing me to this harmful radiation! I am only 1 and this is my 3rd x-ray!!" They didn't seem to care much and just proceeded to take pictures of my arm. They didn't even ask me to say "Cheese." Then I went into another room and was chillin' with my bare arm, running around and playing with my truck and all. Then a mean lady came in and held my arm down and wrapped it all up again. Boy was I mad! She said I have to come back in 10 days for more pictures and if my bones look good I will be ALL DONE with this cast business. So I am going to be really good for the next week and am eating well and drinking my milk and all so my bones will be good and strong. Keep your fingers crossed for me (since I can't do it for myself - darn cast)!

Thomas,
ReplyDeleteCool cast, it is a real "guy" cast! I hope to see you, Saturday, when we visit with Grandma. See you soon, Janet
I really enjoyed our visit in my new house. Hope you liked the new room, and the Hot Wheels. Uncles Bob and Charlie had the sizzlers when they were little and we are keeping our eyes opened for more of them. Cool cast! Love you, Grampa I
