Happy Halloween

Yesterday was Halloween which is a pretty cool holiday. During the day we carved the pumpkin. Mom cut it up and tried to make me scoop the guts out.
I didn't like it much so what you see here is the last of my helping with the Jack-O-Lantern.

This year I decided to be a Fireman for Halloween because I love big trucks, especially fire trucks because they are big and bright and noisy!
I had a really neat fireman outfit that my Mom wouldn't let me wear until last night. I also have 2 different fireman hats and a pair of black boots that are too tight on me, but Mom had me wear them anyway because she is on a budget.

My best buddy Nate came over and when I wasn't bullying him we were having a great time. I like to get him mad by throwing my toys at him and pushing him around, but Daddy explained to me that was no way to treat my friend. I am going to try to be nicer from now on.Nate was a pirate and got to carry a hook, a sword, and a parrot. All I got was a stinking hat that fell off all night. Although- I did get a pumpkin bucket and all Nate had was a shopping bag, so there! His Mom must be on a budget too!
We went for a walk around our neighborhood and knocked on the doors and asked for candy. Mom and Dad said that I had to say "Trick or Treat" and "Thank You" to get candy, but I learned that all I really had to do was just stand there and hold out my pumpkin bucket. Except for one house where the lady gave all the kids candy but me. I was like, "What the heck old lady?!" We went from house to house and ate candy in between until we were cold, grouchy, and tired. I said that I wanted to go home and play so we did.

The next day my Mom tried to hide my candy on the washing machine. You'll have to do better than that Mama! I went to the bathroom, dragged my stool into the kitchen and climbed right up to get my candy. Yum Yum!

  1. What a fun Halloween! You make a great firefighter. Take it easy on Nate, good friends are good to have! Love finding you on my computer. Janet

  2. Why'd the lady skip you with the candy? I feel like there are details missing in this story...

  3. I've seen your trick of pushing chairs around to get to places you shouldn't be. Be careful. Don't eat all that candy at one time. Love, Grandma I

  4. So I went up to the door with Nate and his Daddy and there were a couple of other big kids in front of us. The lady handed out candy to everyone but me and then closed the door. I think she just missed me because I was so polite and quiet and she was senile!
